As the plants sit dormant in the winter ground, they are gaining strength. They are waiting until the time and conditions are right so their survival on the outside is not in jeopardy. The work is being done to them, the power and the magic that sits underground fills them up and gives them the nourishment and force they need to begin their outward lives again. The magic happens below, out of sight. What is then seen is that magic manifested in physical form. The magic has already been instilled, and now as the sprout grows, the magic can be seen by others. The inward is the magic, the outward is the expression of that magic that has already been created. The balance can be subtle and sometimes not noticed as such, but the magic always happens on the inside first, always in the ether first. The expression is the action. So when you think you cannot do something, know that the magic has already put success into place. Sometimes the journey through the soil can be a tough one, with rocks and clay, but the energy is already there, waiting for your growth to happen.
